(Hong Kong, April 26, 2013) DYXnet Group, Greater China’s leading ICT (Information and Communications Technology) service provider, announced today that DYXnet Group added its cloud services operations to all three certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 while successfully upgrading its ISO 20000:2005 certification to ISO 20000-1:2011 certification, making DYXnet the first batch of ICT service providers with cloud service add-ons to its triple certifications
Mr. Lap Man, Founder & CEO of DYXnet Group, stated, “Following our cloud services launched last year, we are honored to add cloud services to all three certifications and upgrade to ISO 20000-1:2011 certification which testify our commitment for ongoing improvement in order to operate to high standards. The three certifications mark our innovative approach and high capability in delivering world-class quality, secure and managed services, including Virtual Private Network, Cloud Dedicated Hosting and Data Centre services to external customers, witnessing our strong qualification in cloud computing and strengthening customers’ confidence in our services.”
ISO 9001 certification covers the policies, practices and procedures of DYXnet to ensure its ability to provide consistent quality in its services and products that meet customers’ requirement while ISO 20000-1:2011 is a service management system (SMS) standard, specifying the design, transition, delivery and improvement of its service.
The major difference between ISO 20000-1:2011 certification and ISO 20000:2005 certification is the introduction of the term “service management system (SMS)”, causing the requirements now align to those of ISO 9001 and ISO 27001. Other changes include: requirements for the governance of processes operated by other interested parties and defining the scope of the SMS; application of the standard and the PDCA methodology to the SMS; new requirements for the design and transition of new or changed services, to cope with the ever growing demand for better quality of services.
To increase the standard of the information security management system, DYXnet has also successfully attained ISO 27001 certification, ensuring our capability to protect our customers’ critical and sensitive information.
Mr. Wallace Ng, Group Vice President of Customer Service, commented, “I am very excited to witness the attainment of our ISO certifications. It is not an easy task for sure. With cloud services being added for the first time, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) needs to define cloud and how it fits into different standards, requiring ISO to establish a new system to check all cloud-related services and items. We are glad to be one of the first IT elites to achieve the certifications, in where we helped set up guidance as well as provided evidence to prove that we met the standards. The upgrades of ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1:2011 and ISO 27001 certifications represent our drive to continually improve and present latest breakthroughs to our customers.”
